Austin Firefighters Retirement Fund is administered by a seven-member Board of Trustees consisting of the City Mayor (or appointee), the City Chief Financial Officer (or appointee), a citizen appointed by City Council, and four member-elected firefighters. Elected firefighters include representation from at least one active and one retired member. Board meetings are held at Austin City Hall and are broadcast online through WebEx. A quorum of four trustees is required to act on any proposed changes to the Fund. All meetings are open to the public, unless in Executive Session.
