Austin Firefighters Retirement Fund will be accepting candidate nominations for two positions on the AFRF Board of Trustees. This year, Vice Chair Aaron Woolverton’s position is up for election as a designated retiree seat. A newly added firefighter position will be designated as an active member seat. The terms for these two elected trustee positions will begin as of the January 2026 board meeting and will be designated as 3- or 4-year terms based upon total vote count during the general election. Trustee elections are open to both active and retired firefighters. Please see the letter below for more information.
